Meet The Team

Peter Shalit, MD, PhD, FACP, AAHIVS
Kevin Steehler, MD, AAHIVS
Jonathan White, PA-C, AAHIVS
Peter Shalit (he/him; Peter) has been in practice since 1990. His training is in Primary Care Internal Medicine: General Healthcare for Adults. Since the start, he has included care for people living with HIV in his scope of practice, while also providing general preventive and screening care, sexual health services including HIV prevention (PrEP), gender affirming care, and diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions that can affect adults. He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington, and frequently hosts trainees in the health care professions for clinical rotations in the practice. He grew up in New Jersey and Massachusetts and graduated from Cornell University with a BA in Biological Sciences. All of his medical training was at the University of Washington including medical school, internship and residency. He lives with his husband Bob and (currently) two cats.
Kevin Steehler (they/them; Kevin) joined the practice in September 2023. They are an LGBTQ Primary Care physician who is board certified in internal medicine. They grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania. and completed medical school at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Following medical school, Kevin moved to Seattle to pursue residency at the University of Washington. During residency Kevin worked at the Madison Clinic at Harborview Medical Center, providing primary care to patients who are living with HIV and to those on PrEP. Kevin also completed an elective rotation in gender affirming care and has a passion for providing high quality care to patients who are transgender and gender non-conforming. As an LGBTQ physician, Kevin strives to apply principles of health equity in their practice. Additionally, they fought to improve equity in medical training by serving as the Lead Negotiator of their union, RFPU-NW, during residency. When they are not seeing patients, Kevin enjoys taking care of their two cats, spending time with their partner, appreciating Seattle's drag scene, and playing board games and video games.
Jonathan White (he/him; Jon) has been with the practice since 2016. He wears two hats. Half of his time is spent providing primary care to his panel of patients. The other half is devoted to managing the practice's research projects in HIV care and prevention. Jon's panel is currently full and he is unable to accept new patients.

William (Bill Hoskyn), DNP, FNP-BC, ARNP

Enne Shah, DO (pic to come)
Bill Hoskyn (he/him) joined the practice in June 2025. Originally hailing from Atlanta, Bill graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor's in Psychology and French. Bill moved to the Seattle area in 2005 to live with and care for adults with intellectual disabilities, which inspired him to go back to school to become a nurse practitioner. He received his Bachelor's of Nursing (2010) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (2016) degrees from the University of Washington. Before he became an NP, Bill worked as a home health and hospice nurse; it was a privilege to walk beside patients and their loved ones during their last few months of life. In 2017, Bill completed a one-year NP residency program at International Community Health Services, a group of community health clinics in the Seattle area, and he has been a primary care provider at ICHS's Shoreline clinic ever since. In his career as a PCP, Bill has cared for a very diverse panel of patients across the lifespan, with a special focus on sexual health, gender-affirming care, diabetes, and mental health. He is currently seeking accreditation through the World Professional Association for Transgender Health and the American Academy of HIV Medicine. Bill also teaches at the University of Washington's Family Nurse Practitioner program.
Bill is thrilled to be a part-time provider at Shalit & Associates, where he can dedicate even more of his time and energy to the queer community in Seattle. He had a rotation here as a student in 2016, and he has been a patient of this clinic. He loves it so much, he works here now! As a PCP, Bill aims to partner with his patients to optimize their health so that they can lead rich, meaningful lives and be their authentic selves. An owner of at least 40 (poor-quality) wigs, Bill loves attending themed parties, crafting, working out, splashing around swimming holes, and traveling with his husband Charlie.
Enne Shah (they/them; Enne) joined the practice in August 2025. Born and raised in New Jersey, they initially came to the Pacific Northwest to spend a service year working at a homelessness nonprofit in Pioneer Square. They graduated from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine; did their Internship/Residency in Family Medicine at The Wright Center Graduate Medical Education - HealthPoint Auburn North Primary Care Clinic. They returned to Washington for residency training in Family Medicine at HealthPoint Community Health Center in Auburn, WA, and are certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. While in training, Enne developed a trans-health curriculum and partnered with a local organization to deliver HIV testing and vaccinations against mpox. They also worked with newly arrived refugees across linguistic and cultural barriers and at a drop-in Suboxone clinic.
Enne’s experiences as a child of immigrants, a queer physician, and in community health have imbued their practice with a focus on cultural competency, equity, and meeting patients where they are in their lives. Their clinical interests include LGBTQ+-focused health (including gender affirming care), HIV treatment and prevention, harm reduction, and addiction. Outside of work, Enne can be found enjoying a local drag show, losing themself in electronic music, or making a vat of soup.
