questions about your bill

What billing or insurance information will I receive?

We bill your insurance company after your visit. Once we receive payment we will bill you for any deductible or co-insurance due. If your insurance companies has paid the bill in full you will not receive an invoice.  Please remember that co-payments are due at the time of the visit.

How long will it take to get things settled with the insurance company?

We make every attempt to collect payment from your insurance carrier. Generally, it takes 30 to 45 days to obtain payment from an insurance carrier.  Some carriers less, some more. If we have not received payment from your insurance carrier within 90 days we will bill you for the charges.

Why am I getting bills from the lab?

Laboratory services are billed separately from our office. We submit the specimens to them along with your insurance information. If you receive a lab bill that appears to be excessive, please call Nicole in our office at 206-624-1441.

I received a notice that my insurance company has paid on my bill -- but I can't understand how they calculated their payment amount. Do you know?

If we have received any such information from your insurance company, we'll be glad to share it with you. However, for answers to any questions about insurance payments, deductibles, or co-payments, you generally need to check with your insurance company.
