We are equipped to handle a comprehensive range of urgent medical conditions and injuries, routine illnesses, and general medical services.

Some of the special things about us are below

community

PrEP (HIV prevention)

Although our patients come from all over the Puget Sound region, we love to take care of people who live in our neighborhood. Since are located in the most densely-populated part of the Northwest, we are within walking distance or a short bus or streetcar ride for many people.

It's now possible to keep from getting HIV infection by taking a daily pill. This is called PrEP. Our clinic offers this service, which includes prescription and monitoring, for people at risk of HIV.

cultural sensitivity

We acknowledge that members of our community - the LGBTQ population - are sometimes made to feel uncomfortable in the mainstream healthcare system. We provide a safe and supportive health care environment for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.

Gender-affirming care
We provide primary care  for transgendered individuals, both female-to-male and male-to-female. When appropriate and desired, hormonal treatment is included.

HIV care

Dr. Shalit has been involved in HIV care since the early days of the epidemic and has taken care of several hundred people living with HIV. He is a certified HIV Specialist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine, of which he is a founding member.

nondiscrimination

We provide care to any individual age 18 and over without regard to race, creed, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression, marital status, or disability status.
